A shared market stall experience in Bournemouth

Irene from Btrix Art and Tori from Tori's Jewels share a stall at the Bournemouth Arcade. They are selling their handmade jewellery and art.

Two friends with a common passion: handcrafting.
I was delighted to share a market stall with my jewellery mate Victoria from Tori’s Jewels (check out her beautiful creations here).
Tori is into macramé, beading, crystals and sea glass. We both love spending time together fossil and sea glass-hunting on the Jurassic Coast beaches. We often say that we are opposites that complement each other - she’s the colourful spiritual hippie, I’m the dark witch.

Yesterday we were given the opportunity by Fantastic Things Emporium to showcase and sell our creations at the Bournemouth Arcade. We spent a really lovely and inspiring day under the beautiful Arcade ceiling, surrounded by nice shops and cafes, and most importantly, by a constant stream of people passing by our stall. It was a real pleasure to speak to some of them, to overhear their nice comments on our creations, or to simply notice their eye being caught by certain pieces. We befriended some customers too!

It was also the first time I put witchy hand-carved hair sticks for sale. These are not available online yet, but they will be soon! You can find a preview of them in one of the stall pictures above. I was very pleased to see people show interest in them - as always, with a new type of product, especially if completely different from what I’ve proposed before, comes a certain degree of nervousness - will it go down well or will it be a total disappointment?

It was a successful day where I acquired experience, learned about myself and my craft, felt inspired, and spent quality time with a good friend. I was grateful for the opportunity given to us and I look forward to the next stall…
